This Friday is the Opening Night and Award Ceremony for the 2021 Banyule Award for Works on Paper.
This
prestigious national art prize is awarded biennially to an outstanding
contemporary work on paper, with the winning artwork entered into the
Banyule Art Collection.
The theme this year is 'Community'. In
this COVID world we asked artists to consider what community means to
them, and to provide us with inspiration and reflection through their
various works on paper.
2021 Finalists include Rosalind Atkins,
Lee Bethel, Victoria Bilogan, Maggie Brown, Karen Coull, Carolyn Craig,
Chelle Destefano, Kathy Fahey, Christine Fontana, Claire Grant, Bridget
Hillebrand, Winsome Jobling, Anna Kiparis, Damon Kowarsky, Kir Larwill,
Lucy Maddox, Ally McKay, Claire Mooney, Alice Nampitjinpa Dixon, Harry
Nankin, Eunice Napanangka Jack, Mitjili Napurrula, Phuong Ngo, Catherine
O’Donnell, Glenda Orr, Chris Orr, Laura Osborne, Caroline Phillips
(with Claire Field), Brian Robinson, Anne Starling, Liz Walker, Cleo
