Drink
Saturday 15 April from 6pm
Drink presents a collection of antique drinking vessels and implements (from as far back as the 17th Century) together with responses by fourteen prominent Australian artists. The consumption of liquid, in all its guises, has served many functions across cultures. From rituals and ceremonies to the restorative powers of tea and coffee, from forcing down medicine to enjoying a beverage with friends, drinking is far more than a mere mechanism of survival.
Artists include Robert J Williams, Carmel Wallace, Glenn Morgan, Katherine Hattam, Heather Shimmen, Jazmina Cininas, Harley Manifold, Geoffrey Ricardo, Glenistair Hancock, Kyoko Imazu, Damon Kowarsky, David Frazer, Madeleine Peters, and Vic Irving
