'Pérégrinations' at the Alliance Française

The Alliance Française is delighted to announce its next exhibition: Pérégrinations, by Damon Kowarsky.

Official Opening 23 October at 630pm

Exhibition continues until 22 November

Inspired by a recent artist’s residency in the Breton village of Léhon, in northwestern France, Australian artist Damon Kowarsky presents Pérégrinations.

Working from a studio in a 12th century abbey, Damon painted every day for two months: capturing with his watercolour and pencil, the lush countryside, the hills rising up from the river, the midsummer light, and all in an ever-changing hue of green. Since returning to Australia, Damon has concentrated on a suite of etchings inspired by his memories of Brittany. The subtle and intricate architecture, the open skies and the luxurious green of Léhon permeate each work that will be presented as part of this exhibition.
