Printmaking in Pakistan

In February Damon Kowarsky taught a three week printmaking workshop at Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi.

During this time he worked with final year students from IVSAA, Karachi School of Art, Karachi University and the Karachi Arts Council to teach two plate colour etching. The students completed one or two prints on subjects including architecture, politics, textile design and contemporary life in Pakistan.

This was Damon's first visit to Karachi but not to Pakistan, where he taught for six months in 2007 at BNU Lahore. It was good to return and renew friendships and work once again with students, artists and colleagues.

That sounds very interesting. Do you have any photos from your time there? or of your students work.

They were fortunate to have you from what I have seen of your work.

    best wishes
