'Edition 2019' at Tacit Art Galleries

EDITIONS
13 to 24 February 2019

Tacit presents Editions 2019, an annual celebration of print and Victorian-based printmaking.

Over the last seven years Editions has become the go-to event for Victorian printmakers. The exhibition celebrates tradition while embracing contemporary innovations within the printed form. This exhibition provides a platform for artists from emerging to more established to explore print processes and approaches to image-making. It also provides the opportunity for artists to exhibit multiple works, providing audiences a greater understanding and insight of the print medium.

Editions juxtaposes traditional techniques alongside more innovative approaches. It  pushes the hand-constructed multiple in a digitally saturated world, celebrating the manual, the labour, the craft. Editions celebrates the artist and the art.

2019 featured artist is Lisa Sewards. Others artists include Helene Athanasiadis, Jessie Balletta, TJ Bateson, Nellie Brown, Peter Brown, Fleur Brett, Jennifer Buntine, Loris Button, Louise Donovan, Kasia Fabijanska, Silvi Glattauer, Jackie Gorring, Gina Grant, Sue Grossman, Robert Hague, Jodi Heffernan, Bridget Hillebrand, Alex Hotchin, Kate Hudson, Callum Jackson, Lana De Jager, Hyun Ju Kim, Damon Kowarsky, Chris Lawry, Jan Liesfield, Robyn Mackay, Malini Maunsell, Paula Mcloughlin, Robert Mihajlovski, Karen Neal , Laura Osborne, Amanda Page, James Pasakos, Gaye Paterson, Jim Pavlidis, Cat Poljski, Bronwyn Rees, John RYRIE, Gwen Scott, Beata Slifierz, Lisa Stebbing, Annemarie Szeleczky Stephen Tester, Susan Wald, Peter Ward, Andrew Weatherill, Michael Wedd, and Takur O Yoko O.
