Etching Workshop at Unique State Artist Studio
Learn the basics of intaglio printmaking with Melbourne based printmaker Damon Kowarsky in this weekend workshop. Over two days participants will be provided with the knowledge to create a copper plate etching.
This workshop will incorporate traditional etching processes, such as etching with ferric chloride, applying hard-grounds, aquatints and printing on cotton paper with high quality ink

The Contemporary Art Society Victoria's A4 Art Australia 2026 exhibition opens this weekend Saturday 28 February and continues until 6 April at Herring Island South Yarra.
The island is accessible via the Parks Victoria punt that crosses from near Kanteen South Yarra on gallery opening days between 11am and 5pm.
Exhibition continues March 1, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29, and April 3, 4, 5, and 6.
This exhibition showcases A4 sized artworks by both established and emerging contemporary artists from all over Australia.

This image is 'Burnt Lane'. Etching and aquatint on paper on board. Made in response to a 2024 visit to Guernsey, and following in the footsteps of William Turner's 1832 journey to the Channel Islands.
